Action for wrongful death in the district court for Ramsey county by the special administratrix of the estate of Leonard Hartmon whose death was caused by the explosion of a gas burner manufactured by defendant Mid-Continent Metal Products Company which allegedly resulted from the negligence of said defendant and defendants National Heater Company, American Radiator & Standard Sanitary Corporation, and Minneapolis-Honeywell Regulator Company. The case was tried before Clayton Parks, Judge, and a jury, and at the close of plaintiffs case the motions of National Heater Company and American Radiator & Standard Sanitary Corporation for dismissal and a directed verdict respectively were granted. The jury returned a verdict for plaintiff for $10,000 against defendant Mid-Continent Metal Products Company only, and said defendant appealed from the judgment entered after denial of its alternative motion for judgment or a new trial.
